Military English Training

Ground, Air and Naval Forces

This training programme will provide development and practice in the professional English language skills required by military personnel in their day-to-day communications.

Each programme is designed to meet the specific training objectives of the participants, leading them to an understanding of the functional communication skills necessary for international military operations and for further military training in an English speaking environment. Throughout the course, authentic discussion, planning activities, spoken and written communications, and the analysis of current affairs enable the participants to integrate General and Military English language development with interactive involvement in content-based, practical coursework.

Certificates awarded by MLS International College through the Military English Programme can include assessments of language skills in compliance with NATO STANAG 6001 proficiency requirements. MLS NATO STANAG 6001 certification is recognised internationally as an acceptable formal measure of administrative and operational Military English ability.
