MLS Saturday Excursions

Throughout the year, MLS students benefit from a full and varied social programme. This includes College parties, sports clubs, conversation clubs, beach barbeques, executive excursions and full day Saturday excursions.

Each Saturday MLS offers a full day excursion to places of interest such as Bath and Stonehenge, London and Oxford. Full day excursions are available to book as and when students wish to attend, and usually cost approximately £25.00 to £30.00.

 

Bath and Stonehenge

Bath and StonehengeThe beautiful town of Bath is situated approximately 100 miles west of London in Sommerset. The town offers many places of interest to visit, such as the ancient Roman Baths (built around a natural hot spring), Bath Abbey and fantastic shops and cafes. Students will also visit one of the most important prehistoric sites in Britain; Stonehenge. Some scientists believe that Stonehenge was constructed around 2500BC and there are many different theories as to why it was built. Click here for more information about Stonehenge.

London

Big BenLondon is the capital city of both England and the United Kingdom. The city was founded by the Romans and is now one of the world's most important business, financial and cultural centers. Visitors can expect to see architecture from many different periods and experience both the traditional and the modern sides of the city. Students will be taken on a walking tour to see the major sites, including Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. Oxford

OxfordOxford was first established as a town in the 9th century and has been home to royalty and scholars for over 800 years. The city is famous for its University and offers visitors a taste of modern and traditional England. Visitors can see many historic buildings and colleges, interesting museums, shops and restaurants.Click here for more information about Oxford.
